Each H&H coil is produced from a single tubular hollow cold drawn to the required diameter, wall thickness, and
specification. There are no joints or weld seams at any point
in the manufacturing process resulting in a more consistent
product with superior corrosion resistance.
Many tube manufacturers weld shorter coils together to achieve
desired length. Even if weld joints are drawn over and annealed,
the heat affected area adjacent to the weld demonstrates
altered microstructure and is more susceptible to failure
by corrosive attack.
Coil lengths vary based upon the weight of the starting tube
hollow, the final diameter and wall thickness for each alloy,
and the specification produced to. Most products can be produced
in 100 pound coils and many can be offered up to 300 pounds.
